Thanked: 0Grüezi from Switzerland
Hello from Switzerland. Been a hobby knife sharpener for a few years, so have an interest in blades. Been fascinated by the sharpness of straight razors, and have been talking about them for a while. My wife listened and finally gave me a Böker for Christmas. Was a bit anxious about bringing that edge near my face, but eventually gave it a try. Now I'm hooked. Use nothing else any more and am constantly on the lookout for antiques to restore. I'm up to two razors now and hoping to add a third soon. Learnt a lot from videos online, some by members here. Thanks for sharing.

Welcome to SRP. As you know by now, sharpening a straight is much different from that of a knife. It's great to have you here & if you have any questions just ask. We would love to see your straight razors & even some of your knives as well.
Good luck my friend!

I had the opportunity 40+ years ago to visit Davos. I was a young buck then and could ski!
Congratulations on being from one of the most beautiful places on earth.
Good luck on your shaving journey!
