Hi and welcome. I too would suggest starting cheaper. There is plenty of time for expensive items after the rookie fumbling is done. Good luck and any questions feel free to ask.

Welcome to an older but better way of shaving.
I would highly encourage you to refrain from spending a lot of money right out of the gate and that includes Razors. If you'd like, I'll loan you a beginner level straight razor, just so you can get the feel of using one. They are different than a shavette. PM me and let me know your thoughts.
Secondly, please try to make that Denver Meet. You will find a great bunch of guys and you will learn more in a few hours than you can by reading and watching videos for months. With that said, please start reading the Wiki as then you will have a foundation of which to ask questions from.
I speak from experience. I've only been able to make one meet but I can't tell you how much I learned! It really made a big difference.

It's a long strange trip, but well worth the journey.

Thanked: 0I just want to say WOW! Thank you everyone for being so supportive and being so welcoming into this Club. I'm looking forward to taking my shaving experience to this level beyond the shavette.
I'll see some of you on the 10th!
