Give it 100 or so shaves and it will come together , just keep it simple and go slow and steady, if you stick with one easy area like the cheeks till your comfortable with handling the razor , you will be a lot more confident with your shaves , everyone thinks they can learn it in a couple of days, I've shaved with a DE razor for over 40 years and it still took me a while to get comfortable. Welcome aboard Braz...
You've done your home work, and very well researched. Im a 30 yr. SR vetran, learned the hard way. (Self tought, wrong approach, but successful)
But learned better once I found the fine folks here.
Shaved my whole face,WTG and used a 4/8 vintage Torrey the very first time.
Learned the do and don't, really quick .
Your in the right place to lessin the learning curve.
Glad to have ya, enjoy the journeyMike

Thanked: 3795Welcome Braz!
Did you get the Norton tri-hone set of waterstones or oilstones? I've had the waterstone set since 2007 and it is great for razors. I'm not sure if the oilstones would be as I don't recall if they were of comparable grits.
