Thanked: 52new member from switzerland
hi all,
i have been lurking here for several months after becoming interested in japanese natural stones for knife honing. i soon found out that these stones are very popular amongst straight razor users and finally got a straight razor (and a second and third...), tons of rock, strops, and brushes, after shaves and soaps. works all very well, i have great fun and get nice shaves, unlike 20 years ago when several encounters with a straight razor ended with significant blood loss and near death experience...
i enjoy this place very much. the wealth of knowledge and information found here is amazing. my learning curve is quite a bit steeper than 20 years ago. not much to contribute right know, maybe later, who knows.
best regards,

Thanked: 351Welcom Hans,
It's always nice to see someone new, come into the fold of straight shaving and, it confirms that I am not alone in my madness!
While I am from Canada, I did live in Norway for 13 years in the 60's and 70's. I never made it to Switzerland, but I'm sure it was my loss, and not yours!
If you have any questions, ask away, I'm sure someone who knows waaay more than me, will answer them.
Regards
