Thanked: 1Hello, from Norfolk, England.
Hi everyone,
Just thought I would sign in and say hi! I am a regular on 'The Shaving Room' and occasional contributor to 'The Shaving Nook', but only just stumbled upon this site.
I do not own a straight yet as various circumstances have delayed the purchase of one, but I intend to get one very soon, and already have a strop waiting! The silver lining of course is that it gives me more time to learn about it all!
Looking forward to chatting with everyone, and learning from you all.

Welcome to the forum Matt. What razor do you have in mind? Where are you looking to get it from? Which strop do you have? 2" or 3"? Type of leather? Read everything you can on here and practice your stropping. If you need to do the x-pattern, I've put a demo on youtube. May help you. Good luck.

Thanked: 1Hi again!
I'm thinking of getting a Revisor, from the Revisor shop! Got given a Dovo strop by a very kind person!
Looking forward to getting started!

Hello Matt
Welcome to srp. I'm guessing you are all set up with brush and cream etc? Remember to build in a wee bit extra money to your razor budget to get it sent to one of the pro honers here in the UK so that you know what a shave ready razor feels like.
