Welcome and congratulations on taking the "big step".

Remember the Viking spirit and Thor Heyerdahl, nothing ventured, nothing gained.

And I'll throw in a "Heia Norge" for good measure!

So eat some of those mushrooms and grab your razor! <Just kidding>

Again, welcome, and remember, you are amongst friends, even if English IS your second language.

    Regards

det får man si - cario, det var vel kjærligheten som bragte deg til kjølige norge

yes, i have read quite a lot in the excellent library and elsewhere - my eyes have dried up many a late night, the information can never be too detailed or long enough! and i already notice with myself that my lasting and established interest in shaving blooms anew within me; to me, the good personal shave - where you stare at yourself in the mirror, and your self fades away a while and you focus in a relaxed manner - this can on many levels resemble a cousin of the japanese tea ceremony; straight shaving in particular - combined with a complete sharpening process.

i remember well how good and happy i felt when i finally, and after long struggle, managed a super shave with a de, and could soon repeat that quality endlessly; like learning the complete alphabet for the first time, and gradually realize how amazingly useful words are! and it can only become better.

ironic how i started seriously with shaving because i detested shaving.

in the end, only repetion and observation will make me a decent sr shaver, an effort well used!

thank you for all your encouragements, fellows, i feel i'm on the right track

Welcome to the forum Marius. A very poetic introduction indeed. If you are a seasoned DE user, I'd guess your change to SRs shouldn't be too difficult. Good luck.
