Thanked: 1Florida newbie
Just joined from west palm. I have my first straight on the way for Xmas. I currently use a muhle R106 and a Simpsons Berkeley best badger. I have been trying to learn as much as I can here at srp.

Welcome aboard Flatraighttime. You will find a wealth of information in the Library here starting in the beginners Guide & go from there. Be prepared to learn a lot of fun! Be patient & take your time. You will learn that the most important thing you'll need is a strop. You can practice with a butter knife so yo don't cut your strop & dull your blade. Also ask plenty of questions. May I ask where you are getting your straight razor from?
Great to have you here.
Good luck my friend.

Welcome to SRP!
It's good to see you are starting out with a good razor and strop. Start practicing stropping now with a butter knife on your leg or something. It takes a bit to build up the muscle memory. Some people never go crazy. What truly horrible lives they must lead - Charles Bukowski
