Hello from a Female straight shaver
Hi all!
I'm Ciara, I use a straight razor to shave and love it, no more cartridges! I look forward to being around. I am learning to hone razors and so on, so that's about it.
Have a good one.

Glad to have you join!
What razor (s) and stones have you chosen?
Has it changed the frequency in how often you need to shave . what made you decide on using the straight.
Sorry... Just curious.
Believe my daughter is intrested as well.Mike

Yeah! So I also set bevels at times so I have a
220 norton
1000 norton
4k shapton glass
8k shapton glass
12k naniwa
It didn't change the frequency of my shave, BUT it did change the comfort level. No ingrown hairs or razor burn ever now, which is one of the main reasons I switched.
I started on a Russian razor of some sort I got off of eBay, now I use either a dovo or my custom.
For your daughter who's interested, I'd let her use your's (if you don't mind), just tell her to go slowly especially around knees and ankles. Otherwise, I've cut myself once and it was because I was going to fast. So slow and steady wins this race I feel.

Sooner or later someone will be impolite. Since you're here, I'm sure you know how to handle that, but if a problem persists, pm a moderator...and welcome again!Just call me Harold
