    Howdy,
    Been wet shaving with a DE since 1978. Taking up the straight. Ordered a sight unseen and a poor mans strop from Larry. Looking forward to learning how to use it and the rest of all this.

    Welcome to SRP!! You definitely came to the right place for SR Shaving Info/Instruction!! You have a lot of time with a DE under your belt... Out of curiosity, what Razor did you start with and which are you currently using?

    Thanks! Have and use an ancient Gillette 3 peice that was my Dads. Have a half dozen vintage packages of Persona 74 Tungsten blades yet. I use Williams soap in a super old 'Old Spice' shaving mug, and an unbranded brush that was also my Dads. I don't use any product after. Hot water rinse, cold water rinse, and I'm done.
