I've always liked "old school" way of doing things. Single action revolvers, lever action rifles, film cameras, mechanical watches, all from a time when doing some things was an art rather than just a process. I don't know why it took me so long to get into SR shaving.

Anyhow, my sweet wife bought me a beautiful Damascus steel (nickle?) razor that I finally gave up on after two days of honing. I then went out and bought an ancient used piece at an antique store, which I eventually realized was warped after another two days of honing. I actually got that one sharp enough to (painfully) shave. I finally broke down and bought a ready to shave razor. Who knew this could be so much work? but I've never been one to give up easily.

Nice site, by the way.
