    Default Hi From NY!

I've loved the idea of a straight razor ever since I started shaving. They were always so expensive that I just continued to pay out the nose for cartridges. For Christmas my wonderful wife brought me a brand new straight razor and a honing kit.

Looking forward to learning how to use it!

    My razor: Dovo Solingen

What boushie said and tell us more about your razor, if you,ve been lurking you know it needs to be from a reputable place that really does know how to hone o e, your adventure will be better with a shave ready edge, Tc

Hi JustinScott & welcome aboard. Take bouschie's advice & it is advice from many of us. Mainly learn to shave & use a strop. Practice stropping with a butterknife so you don't cut a good strop or dull a nice edge. You can learn to hone later after you have acquired the experience of the afore mentioned. Go to Library here & check out the Beginners Guide & go from there plus go to Youtube & watch Lynn Abrams video's. Any questions, just ask.
    Good luck!
