Thanked: 0New Member from NJ
Hello all
I am new to the place but a long time lover of the strait. Never knew where to get one or any other information. Then, after many years, I found this place. There is so much info it has taken me days to read just a small portion of it. Thanks for having me and I look foward to all of the great info and discussions.

Thanked: 250Welcome to SRP..............the place where the Art Of Manliness is practiced. Be sure to check out the Shave Of The Day forum to look at the beautiful razors, and get tips for soaps, brushes, strops, and aftershaves.

Hi Cohibamatt & welcome aboard. Well you're on the right track. When you're ready to buy one just let us know & we can help you out. You will ned a straight razor, strop, brush, soap & mug. At least those are the main things. You might want an after shave but that all depends on your budget. Be sure to check out Lynn Abrams video's on Youtube also. Any questions, just ask. Great to have you here.
Good luck my friend.

Thanked: 0Thanks for all of the friendly hellos'.
I already watched a bunch of Lynn Abrams videos and plan on purchasing a strop and brush soon. I always loved the strait but never knew were to get one or how to shave with one. When I found SRP I was amazed with all of the information which re sparked my interest. Purchased 2 on eBay, but i have a feeling that is just a start. I will be sending them out to be honed on monday( Damn, I just got them and now I have to wait to use them).
This is actually the second one I purchased but I believe it just needs a honing and it will be ready.
This is the first one that I purchased as a project to learn about restoration.
I plan on leaving the pitting on both, I like character.
