Thanked: 9Hello from central NC
Good morning! My name is Craig and I am just south of Raleigh NC. I have been shaving with carts all of my life (couldn't stand electrics) but it was just a chore. About 6 months ago i pulled out my grandfather's old Gillettes and gave de a go. I found the whole process more enjoyable, even relaxing. The problem was that I couldn't be consistent. I had always been interested in str8ts but had never tried one. I found wd and ordered a razor. First shave was the best shave of my life. I have since then picked up a new nts and just last week I found a Dubl Duck in an antique store. The scales are a little loose and the blade doesn't center, but the blade itself is in great shape. I would like to find someone to make this one right.
Anyway, I have rambled on long enough. Thank you for taking the time to read my intro and I look forward to spending lots of time here.
CraigHave a great day!

Welcome Craig!
I'd add some tidbit of information, but it would probably just repeat something nipper will tell you.
Happy Shaving and good luck with RAD!

The triangle area seems to be pretty active, try and meet up with some of the experienced members up there. They will take good care of you. Some people never go crazy. What truly horrible lives they must lead - Charles Bukowski

Welcome aboard Craig. You're going to love this as time goes on. On that Dubl Duck, one guy that knows a lot about them is 10Pups. He can probably help you out with that one & if the blade is in good condition that means it doesn't have any cell rot to the scales. A wealth of information here, yes there is.......
Great to have you. Anymore questions, just ask.
Good luck my friend.
