Will go to SRD today and will more than likely place an order---I enjoy the forum and will keep the forum updated on my purchases and progress in my learning to use and become proficient with a straight. I see a new collecting hobby being born for me.

Welcome to SRP Bobs. You will love it here. Sorry I'm late to the party but my internet was down yesterday & this morning so a few have already given some suggestions like the video's & such. Another good thing to do is to go to the Library at the top of the page, click on it & then proceed to the beginners Guide & go from there. Also if you have never used a strop before, practice with a butterknife at first so you don't cut a new strop & dull a sharp edge on a razor. If you buy from SRD, they also sell replacement leathers in case you accidentally cut one too bad but many times you can sand it out with sandpaper or glue it back down with superglue (CA) or some rubber cement which is more pliable. It sounds like you know what you want so if you have any questions just ask. It's a pleasure to have you here.
    Good luck my friend.
