Welcome Mike! I had been straight shaving for about a year when I decided to shave off the goatee. It was like starting all over again! Things in that area grow a little differently, at least on my face. I would have a nice BBS shave on the rest of the face and the goatee area would look like ground beef! I liked the new challenge though and within a couple of weeks had it down. (Then I grew it back two weeks later).
