Thanked: 2Hello from the Arabian Gulf
Hello all I am new to strait razors, but have been a safety razor user for over 3 years. I purchased a kit and I have a Boker 5/8 razor the basic one. I have been using it for about a month now. I am very glad I made the leap to a strait razor. And I enjoy the close shaves I am see and feel myself getting better with with every shave. I am learning from my mistakes but having a forum like this can speed up the learning curve.
I am on a ship so not having to rely on ordering blades or other supplies is great.
I am glad I have found this FORUM

Thanked: 1184Welcome to SRP brother. Maybe think about getting a back up razor just in case. A drop or ding against something and you'll be back to square 1. Glad to here your doing well so far.
Good judgment comes from experience, and experience....well that comes from poor judgment.

Thanked: 2Hello and thanks for welcoming me here on the forum. I actually am looking to get another blade for a back up. I have the Boker 5/8 and was thinking of just getting another similar 5/8 maybe a DOVO just to mix it up.
