Needle in a Haystack
Hello everybody,
I've been on the forums about 3 months now, getting fairly comfortable shaving now that my face looks like a cutting board but nevertheless I find joy in the process. I have yet been able to find anybody in the NJ area that might be kind enough to spare some time with me on the stones though, so I thought I'd try another post to see if anyone bites. I live in Englishtown 07726 but am willing to travel at this point for a few hours on the stones with an experienced hand. Oh kind mentor, if you exist within an hour or so of me, please let thyself be known.
Thank you much for reading,
Max.Baby Butt Smooth

Yes, I've spent some time on that link lol, success has yet to be a result so I hoped maybe somebody more or less local might catch this post. Thank you for the suggestion perhaps I will try another run there too.

Thanked: 634If you are only three months in I suggest you hold off on honeing for now. First get the shave down so you know how a good shave feels. Honeing will come when you have something to judge your progress by. Start out honeing on an inexpensive razor and not your good one.

I have some burners to practice on, pretty much at the place where I can shave consistently without irritation. Honed 2 ebay razors and shaved with them, dots hey some irritation though. The point is I can hack at it on my own but naturally some hands on with a seasoned gent would be invaluable, so if you exist kind sir, I eagerly await a word.
Thanks againBaby Butt Smooth
