Thanked: 0Hello from Burlington Vermont 05401
Long time lurker, novice straight shaver, have about 3 good razors that I can comfortably shave with. Probably could use help with honing and stropping, and though I was offered help from Montreal (thanks again), was hoping for someone a bit closer than a two hour drive!
I am also looking for old broken straight blades for use in making my own wood carving knives. Since I don't use thinnest part of a hollow ground straight razor blade, over-honed, rusty, and cracked edges are fine.
Thank you to all the wonderful people on the forum for all the great information and tips! With your help I have managed many nick-free shaves!

Thanked: 0I must have jinxed myself by saying "nick-free shaves" previously.. Now I'll reset the clock and say,"zero days without injury!"
