Reply back.this is brian genovese from bozeman /Helena /Butte area.
Hey man, I got up this morning and I'm planning on using my new shaving setup again, I had a member offer me a loaner razor that was honed, stroped and shave ready. After a few shaves, I was hooked, so I ordered a strop and Roy offered to hone a used razor I found at a have sale , for like 40$ I got a nice Bismarck registered celluloid with silver end caps and a gold tang.
I also got a badger hair brush. Seems decent.
But I thought I would say hi, because I really feel like not using a cartridge razor again for a while. Lol well here is what I just got going.. I also got a natural 3'' strop.

Hey Brian,
Good to hear that you're liking not only the loaner but the cleaning and the edge on that Bismarck. The Bismarck looks much nicer in real life than the photo and it's a Great Shaver too!
I'd like to clarify that the Bismarck was purchased for about $40, the clean up and honing were on me n/c hehehe
I think you've got what it takes to make this a Lifestyle. #1 you have Patience and that's what makes or breaks a newbie. Of course it doesn't hurt to have a couple of good shaving straights that are truly shave ready along with a nice strop and some decent soaps.
Enjoy the ride! It's a long strange trip but well worth the journey. Our house is as Neil left it- an Aladdin’s cave of 'stuff'.
