    Default Hi from Colorado!

    Hi all,
    Been lurking for a while, thought I should say hello. I just started wet shaving a few weeks ago, started with an Edwin Jagger DE89. I picked it up quickly and was soon getting some amazingly good shaves.
    In reading the forums and watching videos, I became fascinated by straight razors. So I now have 9 straight shaves under my belt. Getting decent at it. Still a ways to go.
    I have one professionally honed razor, and three more that need it. Ordering some hones after payday and giving it a go myself. Nothing too pricy so if I screw one up it isn't terrible.

    Hello, JRK. Welcome to SRP!

    You might consider putting off honing until you have the shaving well in hand. There's no need to complicate things by learning to do both at the same time. Plus, you might try to sit down with a mentor or attend a meetup to go over some of the different honing options, seeing what is right for you.

    I'm always messing around with stuff. I will have well honed razors on hand, and only shave with something I did when it's right. Plus it appears I can do a meetup this weekend!
