Hello there, I am Stropist and I have been shaving with a straight razor for a little over 4 weeks now (TI Super Gnome Extra in 6/8). I am not new to making things sharp, and have been using the Merkur 33C for about a decade prior to making this switch. I like that most of these tools are not planned with obsolescence in mind, and I like how I can tinker with them and make them my own.

I got on here because the right side of my neck gets irritated a lot more than the left side. It is most likely due to holding the razor a different way, being right handed. I wanted to learn the various "grips" people use, as well as skin care rituals appropriate with this activity.
