Spending time with just yourself shaving is a great way to spend your time. I didn't realize it when I started with a straight, but I very quickly noticed the positive effect on my attitude that a 30 minute straight shave gave me. And even though my wife makes fun of me for the amount of time I spend in the bathroom now, and the fact that I have more aftershaves than she has perfumes, she has nothing but love for my smooth shaven face.

So find a mentor in your area, start shaving, and start enjoying life.

Straight razor shaving you will find to be "all about you: time.
The time it takes never last long enough IMO. I enjoy every aspect of the shave and the time doing it.
Straight razor shaving doesn't have to be expensive. You've come to the right place and people here will help you out as much as they can with advice and friendship.
