Thanked: 3New from MA
Hey everyone,
I just bought my first straight razor from the art of shaving before really doing too much research. I found this page after I tried my first shave. Not sure if it qualifies to your standards as shave ready but I definitely irritated and cut myself. Anyway, I look forward to this journey and any tips off the bat are great!
Kind regards
Justin

Welcome Justin. I did read the other thread you posted. I'm a relatively new str8 shaver and wanted say start/keep reading and take it slow. Use the SRP library to learn the basics and the forums to dig deeper. I've found a local expert also who has helped tremendously. That's my angle anyway. Good luck and enjoy!
Cheers

Welcome fellow newbie and masshole!!!!I have been looking around on another topic, paddle strops, and quite a few people have said that the razor from AOS are not shave ready. You may want to look around for local members who can professional hone your razor. That may cut down on your troubles. Good luck, there is a TON of info on this forum so read up and learn. Just my 2 cents from a former guy from medfa!!!
