    I am just wading in to straights after about 2 years DE shaving. waiting on my first true straight from Larry at Whipped Dog. I am also very excited about making (trying to anyway) my own scales. Anybody else in the Northern VA Area? Having a hard time locating anything for sale that I can hold and examine first :/

    Welcome to the forum. You can search members under the "Community" drop down menu. What are you looking to purchase? Do you have a strop on the way as well?

    Also in this forum, new members, there is a sticky that shows a short cut to the members list, if I can remember correctly, there is a member/mentor in Alexandria,VA who will even do private lessons at his home for newbies like us. I am too far away, as I am in the valley.

    just want to start trying different razors and I did get a strop with it.
