Thanked: 0Nebraska Newbie
I have been a DE shaver for a few years now, and am ready to take the plunge and go straight. I've been thinking about it long enough!
I was directed here by @MisterMoo as a great place to get some guidance as I begin my journey down the straight path.
I just ordered a sight unseen razor and strop kit from Whipped Dog and am anxious to see what I get. I thought it might be a good place to get a start. If it is like any other interest I have pursued, I am sure it won't end there.
I look forward to sharing my journey with everyone in the art of shaving straight.

Welcome to SRP!
While you impatiently awaiting your purchase to arrive, check out the beginner's section in the library and start practicing stropping on your leg with a butter knife.

Hello, Nature. Welcome to Straight Razor Place!
By the way, I was in Omaha last October for a couple of days. It looked like a really nice city.

Thanked: 0Thank you everyone for the warm welcomes!
Been reading up in the the beginner section and perusing around the forum. Good Stuff! A little overwhelming at first.
Thanks for the links @LexTac
Someone else from Omaha! Cool!
Yes, I think it is, but I haven't lived very long in too many other places. Great place to raise a family.
I have been practicing with my plastic knife today! Both the stropping motion, roll over the spine; and shaving stokes, trying to switch hands.
Oh and re-watched a few videos as well. (I have been watching videos off and on for quite some time, like a year or more!)
I will continue reading up and practicing until my razor comes in. When it does, I will have to post up and let you know how it goes!
