Default Kevin From South Carolina USA

    Hello Sir's
This is my second attempt getting into the sophisticated and pleasurable world of Straight Razor Shaving. In my early twenties my barber gave me her straight razor as she noticed I would come in often for a quick shave. I cant remember the brand but I loved using it for about 6 months and then it lost it's edge and I was not able to gain it back for I joined the military and moved on. Well fast forward 20 some years and I want to get back into it, I miss the soothing, and relaxing sensation of a good shave. I have been safety razor shaving for years and felt it natural to go back to the straight razor. I recently purchased my first straight razor form Duluth Trading, a reasonable 30 dollar blade and shaved a few good times before getting discouraged again. Last month I purchased a DOVO razor and have been totally happy with it. I am looking forward to learning the process of honing, and stropping them both. I also look forward to talking with many you of to gain insight on the best creams, lotions, aftershaves and experiences of straight razor shaving. Just tonight I purchased two more blades from the classified forum, GREAT PLACE and AMAZING prices.
Thank you for a wonderful and very informative site, looking forward to becoming the best razor expert in my house.
    Kevin

Hi and welcome. Good luck and hopefully we can help you stick with it this time. Always a good idea to see if anyone local can help with maintenance. A couple hours hands on saves lots of frustration going it alone. Anything we can help with just ask
My wife calls me......... Can you just use Ed
