Thanked: 5New Old Guy from Minnesota
Greetings all.
I have been using this site for the last few months to get information on straight razor shaving, and finally decided to jump on the straight razor bandwagon. I have used shavettes over the last few months to get the hang of the technique and am now ready to join the traditional straight razor world.
Thank you to SRP for creating this great resource for information on straight razor shaving. I can't wait to get started.

There are a lot of straight razor guys in your neck of the woods.
Is it over there or over yonder?

Thanked: 5Thanks Utopian,
I am up to my eyeballs in soaps and brushes as I have been a DE shaver for a number of years. And have some experience with the Feather AC razors.
Stops are going to be a new adventure and I am going to kick the hone can down the road and take it one step at a time.
I placed an order with SRD today. When it gets here chances are good I will reach out for help.

Thanked: 3795I can help you with honing any time you wish. First and foremost you need to sort out stropping. Did you order a razor and strop? If you'd like, I could set you up with a razor and a newspaper strop to allow you to practice without putting your razor or good strop at risk. Basically, I will make myself and my toys available for any help you may desire.
