    Default Hello from Wyoming!

    Greetings all!

I'm Neal, from Wyoming. Grew up in Seattle. Started shaving with a safety razor when I was 20, now I'm going on 26. I can't stand the feeling of the newer razors, more than 1 blade against my skin feels too harsh. Currently using the Bluebeard's revenge scimitar safety razor with their shave oil and the art of shaving shaving cream.

Recently got into knives a little and it has given me the gumption to make the step to straight razor (still think I'm gonna cut my jugular and bleed to death the first time)

Some of my hobbies are long range shooting, snowboarding, and paintball. For a living I fix copy machines.

I tend to open my mouth a fair bit more than I should, so if I post a question here that is easily resealable, I apologise and I have probably already found an answer before the first post.

I will say that I do read stickies pretty often and have already read the ones in the razor section

More than you wanted to know? I do apologize for that.

Just don't make any sawing motions while shaving and you'll be A-Ok. If you're going slow, paying attention and not trying to get fancy with your shave, it's pretty difficult to do more than get a weeper or two here or there as one could get with a safety razor.

Welcome and don't worry you'll be fine...just started myself about 4 weeks ago.

I mean the scar along my entire lower lip is not that noticeable, and the wife barely notices the "whistle" that developed from that cut. I joke, I joke.

Seriously pick these guys brains and check out the library. Loads of good information.

Check out the classifieds here. Will come shave ready and are honers in the vendor services. If you can find a local mentor then sure that they could help out

Welcome. The search engine is loaded with excellent information too. Here's a little something I wrote that maybe of interest. Something to look forward to.
