    Default New From Oklahoma

    Greetings to everyone! At 73 years young and retired, I finally have time to devote to the fine art
    and addiction of straight razor shaving. I'm currently using a Dovo Forestal which was advertised as
    "shave ready" but wasn't.......finally got the edge reasonably sharp and slowly taking the first tentative
    steps of my journey. As many have noted, I'm having great difficulty trying to learn to use my non-dominant
    hand. May have to change tactics and just use the dominant hand and sacrifice some visibility.

    Recently took the plunge and ordered a Jerry Stark custom razor which should be arriving very soon (fingers crossed).

    Lots to learn so it's back to reading!

    Hi and welcome. I actually started using only my dominant hand and later slowly incorporated my left as well. Made it easier as I knew the stroke and angle etc and slowly increased how much I did. Is easy now and would say that it does make it easier and can get some bits better.
