Thanked: 1Noob in Dallas, NC... yes NC not TX :-)
Moved from pricy cartridges to DE safety razor a couple of months ago. I like the results of a multi-pass shave including much happier skin on my neck. Learning all the time. Now looking to brave the SR world in the quest for the best shave... As I continue other quests like the best cup of coffee, best cocktail... I've got the gear to start this new adventure. Just need to find some time.

Welcome. Time is the main ingredient, and there is no shortcut to practice. Just remember that while you're learning, go back to what you know if you're in a hurry. If you rush that straight, you will bleed.

Thanked: 1Thanks. How does a good ol' South Cacalacky boy like you know Tommy's? 😉
I'm taking my time reading and watching a lot before taking the step of putting blade to face. Kinda like my blood on the inside. Though stings from my alum block say I've yet to evade wee blood lettings with my DE. Par for the course in my decades of shaving though.
