I think that is really only important for those trying to sell stuff, like vendors. Otherwise, there really isn't any need to have your eBay name in your profile.

Some members here are also vendors. Some vendors have a website, some sell through the classifieds here, while others sell through the bay. Or they might do all three. Anyway, I really don't see it as important. Especially since eBay hides (at least partly) the username of bidders.
