    Default Newbie north east Ohio

    Just wanted to start getting into classic shaving. I was a chef and do everything from scratch from pasta, bacon, soups and sausages. Had my first wet shave tonight and fell in love! Starting with Dovo classic, an Omega boar brush (love me the pig), Illinois razor strop, and proraso soap. Any suggestion would be greatly appreciated!

    Welcome to SRP!
    It looks like you are starting off with some good gear. I hope the Dovo was professionally sharpened.
    The best suggestion is to go slow until you get the hang of it.
    Read through the Beginner's Section in the Library, it will answer a whole lot of questions.
    And feel free to ask us anything.
