    Default Howdy from Mayberry

Guess I should have posted here 1st, but, anyway...
Got my 1st straight a couple weeks ago. Been saying I was gonna since a barber shaved me in NJ back in the 80's.
Below is my 1st, a Robeson Shuredge. Waiting for a Genco to arrive.
So far so good. It's getting easier & I am pleased to be Shaving Like A Man.
Got brave this morning & ditched the DE & used the straight on my head too.
No cuts, but it looks like Stevie Wonder shaved me. Oh well - practice.
Anyway - I'm here to stay. I'm officially addicted.

There's quite a few people in Minn, so if you can make the drive or someone is in your area, a meet up will help with the growing pains.

    Welcome to the forum!!!

You're starting out with two very good razors. I've never heard of Okabena, but I'm only 2.5 hours away from you in Rochester. If you ever feel like wandering east, get hold of me and I can let you play with a few more toys than you ever should have. Alternatively RandyDance is in St Paul and he can help you too.

Also, we occasionally have meet-ups around here so watch for them. My house needs to be cleaned again so I may have one in November.

Please feel free to ask anything about anything shaving related here.

Be careful how you treat people on your way up, you may meet them again on your way back down.

Thanks to all for the warm welcome. Thanks drzebra. I may need a place to stay before much longer. My other half never appreciates my addictions. I had no idea there were so many members in MN. Ya'll must be all twin cities type boys. Everyone around me (except me) looks like Grizzly Adams. Ya'll are weird up here. (I ain't a native - can you tell?) And for what it's worth, I LIVE here & don't know where it is!

I hear you, 1oldDago. My better-looking half is getting exasperated with my shaving-related acquisition disorders, too. What's worse is we have reptile acquisition disorder as well. If you have too much money laying around, getting some bearded dragons and some snakes will take care of that quickly.
