Thanked: 0Hey from the Lone Star state
Good morning folks. I decided that I should just go ahead and jump into straight razor shaving and learn all I can about the art. DEs have been my weapon of choice for lo these many, many years, and not too long ago an electric shaver was in the rotation. The shave with the Norelco left a lot to be desired . . . kept having to go back over and over the same spots! I went back to my old Gillette Super Speed DE with much better results.
The idea of shaving with an "old school" non-throwaway blade has always had an appeal for me, so I got an Dovo BQ from SRD last summer, and have been trying to learn the ropes.
So far, the sr8 razor experience has been great (only with a few nicks/slices here and there). I have to say that it's actually something that I look forward to instead of dreading the same old boring routine.
So anyway, there are a lot of you knowledgeable folks on the forum, and I hope to pick your collective minds from time to time. Thanks in advance!!
