Hi everyone!
I'm learning how to hone straight razors. Have a lot of knife experience. Own several thuri's and a couple coti's. No jnats, yet...

Check the library. Razor honing is totally different than a knife. Welcome and enjoy.

Welcome to SRP! I started out similarly with knife experience and eventually developed my honing techniques... Definitely quite different techniques but it all stems from the same good place... A love of tools, steel and sharp things!
