Thanked: 8Hey everyone from da KY
Hi everyone. Im Sampson from kentucky. My sis bought me an old puma inox about 3 years ago for christmas after I had expressed a little interest in collecting. It took a while but Ive got 15 now. Mostly ebay finds some estate picks. But I only got serious about it a month or two ago and decided I needed to start usin these things if Im gonna be collecting them. So anyway, ive got alot to learn. The honing, the stropin, and the shavin. There is one thing really bothering me though. Does anyone know anything about a manufacturer called Nespa. Picked one up a while back just based on the look and the blade ya know. Didnt know anything about who made it or where it came from and still cant find out. NESPA 248. Chemical steel.
Let me know if it sounds familiar.

Welcome to SRP!
Nespa is a Japanese company. I know they make kamisoris. That's about all I know about them, but I bet some of the kamisori users know a lot more about them. Some people never go crazy. What truly horrible lives they must lead - Charles Bukowski

Thanked: 8Hey, and one other thing. I'm trying to hone a couple of blades, but really don't have the proper hones. Just an old barbers hone. Does anyone have a suggestion on a good person to have hone a blade or 2 for me so that I can feel the standard I need to learn to sharpen to?

The Classifieds here at SRP is a good place to find a professional honer.
