Thread: Hello from Western Mass

Hi there everyone my name is Laramie and I currently reside in Western Ma. I have been shaving with a DE razor for about a year now and am chopping at the bit to get my first straight. I look forward to learning from ya'll and can't wait to get my first razor. "From SRD of course".

There are a ton of great people with a wealth of knowledge here that are more than willing to help you with any questions you have.
Use the library. Watch video's, especially Lynn's. Go slow and take the time to learn this great art. It takes a little time, practice and patience. In the end you'll realize that the time and effort was well worth it and very rewarding.
I am also from Ma.. Oakham to be exact, which is between Worcester and Springfield, and would be more than happy to meet with you in person to help in any way that I can. Feel free to PM me about anything.

Thanks Pete, Im in Berkshire county so I'm about an hour out from you. Once I get started I would really like to meet someone in person and learn first hand. I have to do a little work on my car before I can spend the $150 or so on my first razor. So maybe I will have one in about a week or so. Keeping my fingers crossed.
