Newbie saying Hi
Hi everyone. I'm new to the forum though not new to wet shaving. I am an active member of the two main UK forums. I was mainly a DE and Se shaver until I took the plunge and bought my first straight. It is an unknown make Solingen full hollow 5/8th round point with the word Facherbeit on the scales. I had it honed and it took a wickedly sharp edge. It is a very smooth shaver and I'm loving every second of using it.
On a personal note I'm English in my 50's and am really into my shaving. I always look forward to learning from my peers. you cannot beat experience.

It was in original condition, faded red, well-worn, but nice.
This was and still is my favorite combination; beautiful, original, and worn.

Welcome to the forum and enjoy the journey into straight razors.
England has made some of the finest razors available in my opinion, the home of Sheffield steel and the historic and legendary Wade & Butcher, Joseph Rogers & Sons, William Elliot, the famous Greaves & Sons, William Ragg, and the list of makers goes on and on.
