Hey all new guy here doing the intro thing. Found this place by trying to look up an old Straight Razor and figured I'd check it out. I shaved for 6 months earlier this year with an old late 1800s Razor need to send it to get honed stropping has stopped doing any good and I'm not comfortable stropping yet. I've got another one I'm going to post for some help finding info on, look forward to learning a little while I'm here.

Hey, welcome to the club! There are a few experts here who offer their honing services from time to time of your could send it to SRD to be honed for $25 + return postage. Depending where you are in Georgia there may even be someone close by who could get with you for some 1 on 1 coaching

Thank you. I am actually really good at sharpening most things but I am not comfortable with shaving my own razor, over critical of my work if you will, I've got a really good guy to do it for me last time and it lasted 6 months with stropping, just been to lazy, not wanting to, you know life, been using DE safety since though. Now that I've got two others to get cleaned up might send him all 3 after the holidays and get them all shave ready and go back to it. Best shave ever, took a week or two to get used to it but once I did, amazing!
