Thanked: 1No SR yet, no razor at all really unless you count Gillette disposables. I only really needed to start shaving regularly this year (I'm 17). Decided I might as well do it right so If my pocket allows I'd prefer to support one of the builders on the forum and buy one of there blades. Don't know if that's right or wrong but I think if I spend a bit of money it will bug me to stick because I'll think if I don't use it I wasted a chunk of drinking money.
Anyone recommend any builders. As you can see I'm only a day old but I like the look of Urliks SR. Are they any good?

Anything from the classifieds here is safe. All you really need to get started is a good sharp razor and a strop. On the razor, a round tip is usually recommended for new users. It's easy to nick yourself with a square tip if you're not paying attention, however they still make excellent razors, you just have to be careful with it.

I would start with something less expensive then when you ding it like most of us do while learning it doesn't matter so much. Same goes for the strop as you will likely nick it a bit. I would use the excuse of learning so I can get the expensive one once rookie mistakes are done with. Good luck what ever path you choose
