MS Restored Straight Razors Simple ones I know
Just finished working on these 2 cut throats,The Blades were very rusty and the old scales were cracked Both are German razors but not particuly sort after ones. although the one with Oak scales has honed up with a fantastic edge after setting the bevel ( I know I should of took pics the before and after ) One I had to take the edge down more than an 1/8th because it had a chunk out. Got them both cheap on Evilbay
The scales are Burnt English Oak I put the flame on them to give a look of age. The other is Leopard wood with snakewood wedge. The pins are made up from Brass rod & 2mm id Washers
They look better than I could get on the pics
Thanks for looking

Looking good. The Timor looks ok but the bottom one you have honed into the stabalizer and need to correct to reveal the heel of the blade.

Thanks Eddy for the link
I have done this on some razors dont know why I didn't on this one But I have to say being a knife maker it doesnt seem wrong to hone up to the stabilizer on a knife its the Plug cut which you always butt up to, I will have to change my way of thinking, looks like I will learn some stuff on here
