Thanked: 0Greetings from Pennsylvania
Hi, all. I'm preparing to get my very first straight razor, and have already ordered a strop. I came across this site when looking for instructions on hanging my strop. Great wealth of information here. I'm hoping to get my first razor by the beginning of February, in time for my birthday! I've been wet shaving for about a decade now, and have been fascinated with straight razors ever since I was a kid. I'm not sure why I waited so long to get started, but I think it's for the best. I finally have some time I can devote to learning the proper way. Looking for to getting to know you folks, and learning more about these useful pieces of art.

Welcome to the forum from the other side of the country. Like you, I also developed the SR fascination as a kid (after seeing my grandfather's collection of razor strops hanging in his bathroom way, way back in 1979. Sheesh...I feel old now!)
I wish you the best of luck getting your first straight razor.--Mark
