    Welcome, Carswell
Did you get a styptic pencil.?
    You may need it..!! [emoji57]
Hope all goes great for you, take your time. Start on just your cheeks, until you become more comfortable with it.

Or just dive in, like myself.
Make sure your blades are properly honed and stropped, preferably by a honemeister ( pro )

Read and watch as many videos as you can possibly withstand to help lessen the learning curve, or reach out to a mentor in your area for help.

    Welcome to SRP Carswell!
The first thing to do is watch Lynn's video, then watch as many shaving and stropping videos that you can. Take your time shaving and stay in your comfort zone. Learn and practice shaving strokes that you think will work for you by using a butter knife. A little time and effort will be well worth it in the long run.
Enjoy the forum and good luck!

Hi and welcome. Be sure to send your razor for pro honing. I would worry about learning to shave before honing as stropping well if far more important in the beginning. Good luck and any questions feel free to ask.

I know about the pro honing being the best option but I figured I would try honing on the crappy chinese one since it's going to be garbage anyways
