New person introduction of Bob Warner

Hello all,

I just signed up on this forum and thought I might introduce myself. I am Bob Warner and I have been making custom knives for about 25 years. I live in a small town called Royse City just east of Dallas, Texas.

I decided to give the straight razor a shot and came to learn a little about them. The actual making of the razor is probably already in my wheel house but the setting of the edge and sharpening will be different than knives I am sure.

I also need to learn the terms I am unfamiliar with like 8/8 which I assume is the height of the blade in eighths. So a tall blade might be 9/8, correct?

I will also need to learn the likes and dislikes of razor users and collectors so I can make razors people would like.


Here are a couple of the knives I have made in the past. These are not for sale, just things I've made. Sorry for the large photos, I looked in the policy and did not see any reference to photo size.
