    Cool Hello from British Columbia

Hey all. Name is Ryan. Just started training as a new barber but have always had an interest in knives so developing an interest in straight razors was a natural progression. I am new to straight razors and the art so bear with me.
    Cheers

    Welcome.
At least you'll be ahead of the pack, once you finish your training. They should cover the proper use of a straight razor, while your there.

Welcome to the land of crazies, Ryan. Most of us here are fairly new to this sport and are very patient with beginners. Don't be afraid to ask questions if you cannot find your answer already posted in a previous discussion or catalogued in the Library. If you thought knives were addictive, wail until you get more into straight razors. It can be quite the rabbit hole.

Hi Ryan. Welcome! I've only been here a few days but the people here are very nice and knowledgeable. I did have one guy tell me that the best way to do it is just to close your eyes and go as fast as you can, but I think he may have been off his rocker lol. Have fun and welcome again.

Cheers all. I look forward to the learning curve. I am doing my hot towel straight razor course at the end of the month. And will be looking for models in my area to practice my skills if anyone is around Chilliwack.

I must have missed your introduction.
    Welcome to you too, Bumpy.

PS. I think he was referring to the last girl at the bar, at closing time. [emoji56]

Welcome. There are quite a few Canadians on this forum and a few BC boys.
