    Default I'm ready

    Howdy!
Just ordered my 1st SR & super excited.

My actual name is John, 61, and DE shaver for years. Retired 10 years ago, married a woman from SEA and moved and lived in a jungle village ( 150 people, about 4% of 'em are family ) of eastern Thailand for 5 years. ( baan Nernhom )
Barber in village used a shavette for everything, cold, no hot water, but provided plenty of Sang Som & Leo beer to dull the scraping he provided.

Now, back in AZ and wife has aquired her US citizenship, so I no longer have to do paperwork, so hobby time.

I'm a research intensive type, so off I go on this adventure, I'm sure numerous idiotic questions will be forthcoming.

Awesome - bring on the numerous questions - they've probably all been answered before. Good to learn the search features of the site - makes for hours of interesting reading!

    Welcome!

Hopefully you ordered a decent razor or you may have to ask more stupid questions!

    What did you order?

Are you aware of the Buy/Sell/Trade section of the forum? There are lots of great deals there. You'll know what you are getting and you'll know who honed it.

It was, live there half the year now. It was a culture learning curve for a year at first, learning the language, still can only read a few words, gave up trying that for awhile, learning to read it...
Found a cobra in my kitchen one morning, wife was more freaked than I, shoo'd it away and life was fine.
