    Default Hi from Arizona

I just took the leap into straight razors. In fact I haven't even tried them yet. I purchased two straights on another forum and had the seller send them to another member to get honed. They should arrive in a couple of days. I also purchased a strop today and that should be in next week. Until next week I figured I'd better read up on straight razor shaving. What better place to read than a forum dedicated to nothing but straights!!

I have been using DEs and SEs of all sorts for a few years now (5 years I think). I tried a shavette and wasn't really sold. The main thing that kept me from straights was the honing part. Well, there are very good shavers that offer these services for very reasonable prices. With that in mind I took the leap.

I am an active member on other shaving forums and I know what type of effort goes into these things. Members can read reviews or research information using other members posts. With that being said, before taking advantage of all of these posts/efforts, it is only right to introduce myself first.

Hi everyone, my name is Gabe and I live in Arizona. (Phoenix area)
