    Default Greetings

    Hello,

I posted a few days ago about finding my grandfather's Union Cutlery Razor under the razor subforum.
I created an account here to hopefully refine my shaving technique, learn and branch out, and get better at honing.

I first tried a straight razor two or three years ago with the name "Buckingham & Sons." It worked for a week or so, but it dulled
more quickly than I thought a razor should've. I switched to a dovo shavette and I used that for about two years before I got
a sight unseen off of whipped dog. Larry gave me a older looking Boker King Cutter that shaves perfectly. Loving it.

Hope you guys can teach me a lot.

Hey, another Virginian! Seems like this straight razor thing is catching quite a bit of traction around these parts.

Welcome to the forum, hope you come to like using these as much as the rest of us. Turns shaving from a chore to almost a luxury.

Welcome to SRP! Marshal is absolutely spot-on; shaving with straight razors turns a chore into luxurious fun. Too bad most men today are too focused on convenience and safety to try out the best way of shaving bar none. The old way is the best way in this case. Have fun with your Boker.
