Thread: First timer, and I think I have the bug after one time....idk

Hi and welcome . Go slow and be sure to ask if uncertain. You will pick it up soon enough but can't shave over scabs and cuts etc

I'll have plenty of questions now and then, after I rack up a handful of shaves.

I wanted to go again this morning, but I forgot, and didn't leave myself the extra time needed. I could do a 40 second shave before if I had to, because my beard isn't that heavy.

I'll remember tomorr....

Oh never mind, it's 2am already, because I keep waiting for a razor I like to pop up on buy and sell..

Maybe I will still get it done this morning but with less sleep. Get my first cut maybe even...

I'm one of the newer members from the StL area that Tc mentioned. I'm going to be indisposed for most of this week but if you want to meet up feel free to drop me a PM and I'll see what I can do to help. In the interest of full disclosure, I've only been shaving with a straight razor for a little over six months but I'm generally very willing to admit when I'm out of my depth and can at least give the the heads up on my own mistakes!

Okay great, I'll keep that in mind. Things are a little crazy the next week or 2, but as I keep straight shaving more I'm sure I'll have questions. Good to know some of the guys on here are local, including the one who started this place. 👍
