    Default Sleepy in Seattle

    Hi Everyone;

    I am looking at all this info, I didn't realize there was such art to shaving. I am looking to get everyone's perspectives on wet shaving as I learn tips and tricks.

    Looking forward to hearing from you.

    Aloha!

    I used to have a pad in Redmond, so I know your area of the country well.

    I've been wet shaving since I was 18 and that was many decades ago. I've been through many DE (Double Edge) razors and Straight Blades and Shavettes since then. Enjoyed them all. Still do. Some approach wet shaving as an art, some as a hobby (collecting and exploring creams, soaps, brushes, scuttles, aftershaves, etc) and some like everything about it. Myself included.

    Even with all my experience, there are guys here that have forgotten more than I know. This is an amazing place to learn and enjoy the art of shaving. So enjoy SRP!

    Mahalo!

    Glad to have ya here. Read the library for lots of info on getting started. Ask all the questions you want. Dont worry if you think its a stupid question. We all stared the same as you with not knowing what we were doing. What kind of equipment do you have at this time? Have you had your first S.R. shave yet? Jump on in with both feet and enjoy the trip. Its takes time to get a good clean comfortable shave so just keep at it. Enjoy and welcome!

    Welcome to the board, Sheaves! Hope you are ready to have some serious fun with something that for most is nothing but drudgery. Be patient in learning this new sport and you will be richly rewarded. Cheers!
